World leaders must embrace agricultural biotechnology if they are to cope with the severe food shortages likely to result from global warming in the coming decades, warns a group of scientists. Yields from some of the most important crops for human consumption begin to decline sharply when average temperatures exceed about 30 degrees Celsius, or 86 Fahrenheit, they explain in an article that will appear Friday in the journal Science . "You're looking at a 20 percent to 30 percent decline in production yields in the next 50 years," said coauthor David Battisti.

I never was a follower of anyone or anything but when I first heard of global warming it just made sense without much thought of my own I thought no harm & went along with it. It quickly turned to Non-Sense when I had seen the "Greens" set mandates for CFL's to replace incandescent light which stopped me in my tracks. Poison the enviornment with Mercury to save on energy costs. That, I found Irrational, in addition I have used a dozen CFL's in my home for the last 2 years & have found on average the lifespan was in most cases inferior to Incandescents (I replace 1 every 3 months or so & have no electrical problem here) in addition like fluorescent tubes they create a lot of electrical interference. In our country The Market use to determine what products would survive & which will die which worked efficently for the people & for the Enviornment which, it is no longer the case.
When that mandate came to light I did my own research & found it is actually getting colder &, if there was global warming for the last few decades we definitely wouldn't be breaking coldest year records now. Interestingly as well this winter all 50 states had at least some snow. There is a higher power telling Us there is NO Global Warming, that higher Power should be the People of the US of A but it seems to be coming from a higher source. For the last 2 years I have seen control of our country's destiny leaving the hands of the people & flowing to the hands of Government, local and Federal. Danger-Danger. Over 300 million minds are always more Intelligent & rational then the minds of the few in Government. I Sincerely believe this is an attempt to control our future just as "Nationalized Healthcare" will take away our Freedom Of Choice. They want to own our future. We all need to wake up and sense the weeds growing before US. We are moving from a Government For the People & By The People to a People For The Government & By The Government. That will endanger Us from the inside & from the outside & bring Us down from a Wealthy, rational & Sane World Power to a 3rd world country. That, I find "In Sane".

The solution to the problem is very easy. Americans and the world need to make charcoal (bio-char) and plow it into the soil. All organic material can be turned into bio-char using mostly the energy from the gas generated as heat drives it out of the organic material. Once plowed into the soil the bio-char (carbon) stays there for at least one thousand years. This increases crop production and takes carbon out of the atmosphere without removing oxygen as carbon-dioxide sequestration does. Lets quit talking and do this easy low tech solution.
