As I grow older, it seems like I get ignored more often. Much more. My wife, who used to be so attentive to my needs, barely listens to half of what I say. My kids, now in middle school, stare at me blankly when I ask about their homework. The guy at the Verizon Wireless store couldn't care less when I complain that not as many people can hear me now. It's no different at work. Customers don't pay me when I ask. Vendors don't deliver until I yell. Employees don't listen to my instructions. I'm ignored a lot.

You can checkout plenty of open source software that is easy to install at http://bitnami.org/stacks In the case of BitNami it even runs on Windows and Macs, so no need to even install Linux... There is still a long way to go to "productize" open source, but for certain types of applications it is way easier than it used to be.
