Shares of online travel agent Preview Travel climbed 2-9/16 to 22-15/16 on Friday after the company was featured in a bullish story in Business Week.
Steve Weinstein, an analyst at Pacific Crest Securites, told the magazine that Preview Travel — which is the primary travel service on America Online (NYSE: AOL) and has AOL as a shareholder — could be “a prime acquisition target” that could fetch a big premium. BancBoston Robertson Stephens analyst Lauren Cook Levitan also liked the company’s prospects.
